Muhammad Ssegirinya, the Member of Parilamennt for Kawempe North, has been discharged from Aga Khan Hospital in Nairobi where he had been admitted to receive treatment.

This has been confirmed by Alex Luwemba , Ssegirinya’s personal Assistant in brief statement he shared on Ssegirinya’s Fans Facebook page.

He expressed gratitude for Ssegirinya’s recovery as he thanked God for his bosses health improvement.

He went to appreciate the Parliament of Uganda for footing Ssegirinya’s medical bills.

He further appreciated the National Unity platform leadership and party members for the support they offered during Ssegirinya’s stay at Aga Khan Hospital.

However he said that Ssegirinya’s is on his road to recovery as he thanked people of Kawempe for the prayers they sent out to him.

Ssegirinya is expected back in the country on Monday 24th June.

“Alhamdulillah 🙏 Good news here.. Hon Ssegirinya has been discharged from Aga Khan University Hospital Nairobi Kenya were he has spent six(6)months having treatment and medication.

On behalf of Hon Ssegirinya, family and friends, I want to extend our sincere gratitude to the leadership of Parliament of UG for fully facilitating the medical bills of Hon.

Secondly also appreciate the leadership of National Unity Platform led by our Able President H.E Bobi Wine , Able SG David Lewis Rubongoya , Lop Hon Joel Ssenyonyi and party members for the support you’ve always offered to us while at Aga Khan.

Your continuous visits have really healed Mr update coz “Visiting a patient is part of a healing process” Thank you!

Note: Doctors have recommended Hon Ssegirinya to have a break for 3 months as they continue to monitor him.”,Alex Luwemba wrote

Ssegirinya’s medical Journey took him to the Aga Khan Hospital in Kenya last August , where he underwent treatment for a host of aliments, including skin cancer and gastrointestinal complications. since then ,he has been battling health challenges ,which were exacerbated by his release from Luzira prison two years ago
