The Special Forces Command (SFC) has come out and issued a statement refuting the allegations that one of their soldiers had shot and Killed a National Unity platform (NUP) supporter in Kampala.
This was after NUP supporter by names if Motive Kasagga shared post his X Account claiming that one of their colleagues had been shot dead at Bwaise roundabout on Saturday evening by an SFC soldier who was traveling on a police pickup.
He also attached a photo of an SFC soldier whom he accused of having killed their colleague.
Now , the SCF in the statement shared by their information officer, Jimmy Omara denied the allegations and confirmed the tweet that was shared by Kasagga is fake and deserves to be taken with contempt.
“No such an incident was recorded anywhere our troops operated. This is to warn the propagators of this falsehood to stop forthwith, otherwise, your continuous false allegations against the institution of SFC shall be met with the full force of the law,” Maj Omara said.
The claim being circulated was made hours after NUP president, Robert Kyagulanyi, also known as Bobi Wine returned to the city after attending a memorial service for Ritah Nabukenya, an NUP supporter who was knocked dead by a vehicle in 2020.
However, Kyagulanyi has not posted anything about the said incident.
The SFC spokesperson however, said despite the claims, the Special Forces Command will not be distracted from doing its work .
