Uganda’sTikTok sensation Luwi Light, real name Nansubuga Aisha, has been denied bail and remanded again over a string of pending police cases.
The social media creator appeared in court today, 21 January 2026, facing charges filed by singer Bebe Cool.
The cases reportedly involve allegations of misinformation and hate speech, including attacks on Bebe Cool’s family and his wife’s popular cake business, Zuena Cakes.
Luwi Light was initially arrested a few weeks ago and detained at Luzira Prison. Her latest bail application was rejected by the judge, citing multiple ongoing police investigations against her.
The court also questioned the credibility of one of the individuals claiming to be Luwi’s mother, ruling her ineligible to act as a bail suitor.
