Singer Nina Roz has announced her political ambitions, confirming plans to contest for the Sembabule Woman Member of Parliament seat in the 2026 general elections.
However, she made it clear that her candidacy hinges on securing the National Unity Platform (NUP) ticket.

Roz stated that she would participate in the party primaries and expressed strong confidence in winning the endorsement.
Still, she emphasized that if she does not get the party’s backing, she will not run as an independent or on any other ticket.
“I have strong grassroots support, and that’s crucial within our party. I’m confident I’ll be chosen as the flag bearer. But if things don’t go in my favor, I’ll fully support whoever NUP selects,” she said.

Nina Roz joins a growing list of Ugandan entertainers eyeing political positions in 2026, including Eddy Yaawe, Tuff B, Reign, CB Talker and Big Eye.
