Swangz Avenue has announced the cancellation of the much-anticipated Roast And Rhyme Reggae Ragga Nyama Nyam Edition that was scheduled for today, Sunday, February 23, 2024, at Jahazi Pier in Munyonyo.
In a statement released earlier today, Swangz Avenue CEO Julius Kyazze explained that the event would not take place due to “unforeseen circumstances beyond our control.”
Kyazze shared that the decision was made after careful consideration of various challenges, including venue-related issues and concerns for the safety of the attendees.
“We deeply regret to inform you that, due to unforeseen circumstances, we must postpone the Roast & Rhyme event, which was originally planned for today. This decision was not made lightly. Despite our best efforts, last-minute challenges with the venue and safety concerns for our guests made it necessary to reschedule the event,” the statement reads in part.
Swangz Avenue assured ticket holders that a new date for the event would be announced soon, and that tickets for those who had already purchased would remain valid.

“A new date will be shared soon, and we are working diligently with all involved parties to confirm the best possible alternative. Your tickets will remain valid, and there is no need to repurchase them. Your current ticket will provide access to the rescheduled event,” the statement confirmed.
As a gesture of appreciation for their understanding and patience, Swangz Avenue announced that all current ticket holders would receive an additional free ticket to bring a friend to the rescheduled event.

“We thank you for your patience and understanding, and to show our gratitude, we will be giving all ticket holders a complimentary ticket for a friend to join the rescheduled event,” Kyazze added.
