Faded Ugandan singer Ronald Alimpa, best known for his hit Olusuku Lwa Cement, is back in the headlines, but this time for disturbing reasons. He is accused of domestic violence and neglecting his pregnant lover, only identified as Winnie.
In an emotional interview with Sheilah Price, Winnie alleges that Alimpa has become increasingly violent, spiraling into addiction, and losing control over his actions.
She claims he beats her at any moment of anger and has, on multiple occasions, tied her up through the night. Winnie even revealed scars she says are from the continuous abuse.
With her due date just days away, Winnie says there has been no preparation for their unborn baby, leaving her in emotional and financial distress.
“He is mad even when he refuses to accept it, he needs rehab.Alimpa beats me all the time, but I stayed, thinking he would change. I have had enough.”she said.
She also recounted a terrifying incident in Nakasongola, where she traveled with Alimpa for a performance. Winnie says the situation escalated to the point she feared for her life one of the key moments that pushed her to speak out publicly.
