Western Uganda’s music star, Ray G, has once again made history after filling up Kakyeka Stadium in Mbarara during his much-anticipated concert held on Saturday, November 1st, 2025.
The singer, real name Reagan Muhairwe, proved all his critics wrong as thousands of fans braved the heavy rains to show him massive love and support. According to reliable sources, over 20,000 tickets were sold making it the biggest concert of his career and the most attended show ever at Kakyeka Stadium.
By 4 PM, fans had already started flooding the venue, and by 10 PM, the stadium was packed to the brim as Ray G stepped on stage to deliver a thrilling performance. He performed all his top hits, including songs that first introduced him to the Ugandan music scene.
Some of the big names who performed before Ray G included Lydia Jazmine, MC Kacheche, Elijah Kitaka, and many others, setting the mood for what turned out to be a night to remember.
Ray G, who is known for hit songs like Omusheshe, Eizooba, and Yoya, has become a household name not only in Western Uganda but across the country. His music a sweet blend of Afro-pop and Runyankole lyrics speaks about love, unity, and real-life experiences, making him a favorite across all generations.
Speaking ahead of the concert, Ray G said performing in his hometown is always special:
“I’ve performed in many places, but nothing compares to performing in Mbarara. This concert is for my people. It’s going to be massive,” he said.
Ray G’s last big show was held at Lugogo Cricket Oval in May last year, where he also pulled record crowds. His continued success has inspired other regional stars like T-Paul and Omega 256, proving that Western Uganda is a true powerhouse in the Ugandan music industry.
Once again, Ray G has shown that he is not just a Western star he’s a national music icon.
