The Uganda Police has confirmed the arrest of events promoter Nobat Events, whose real name is Norbert Twizire, in connection with the recent assault on singer Full Figure.
Late last month, Full Figure was violently attacked by unidentified individuals, sustaining injuries that left her hospitalized for several days. Following the incident, she filed a police report citing assault and theft, prompting authorities to open an investigation.
Nobat Events was apprehended during President Museveni’s 81st birthday celebrations at the Kololo Ceremonial Grounds in Kampala. He is currently being held at the Central Police Station (CPS).
Kampala Metropolitan Deputy Police Spokesperson Luke Owoyesigyire confirmed the arrest, noting that although no formal charges have been filed against Twizire, his detention is intended to assist ongoing investigations.
Owoyesigyire added that it is still unclear whether Twizire will be taken to court or released, stating that the decision will depend on the outcome of his statement and further inquiries.
