Controversial events promoter Nobat Events has officially turned a new page, ending his long-running online war with Ugandan music star Eddy Kenzo and other artists he previously attacked.
Speaking during a YouTube podcast, Nobat Events openly apologised to Eddy Kenzo, the Uganda National Musicians Federation (UNMF), and individuals he admitted to abusing or disrespecting in the past.
The apology marks a sharp shift from the aggressive online image that once made him a regular feature on heated TikTok Live sessions.
Nobat Events revealed that his arrest and remand over a cyber harassment case became a turning point in his life. During that period, he realised that many people he had been fighting for abandoned him when trouble came.
“I was being used to fight other people’s battles, and when I landed in prison, I was left alone,” he said.
According to Nobat, the experience forced him to reflect deeply on his actions, leading to a decision to quit online abuse and public fights altogether.
He admitted that his TikTok Live broadcasts had crossed the line, especially his attacks on Eddy Kenzo, UNMF, and Kenzo’s wife.
“My war with Kenzo is over. I’m done fighting him,” Nobat declared. He even said Kenzo is free to invite him, adding that he would be willing to support him in managing the government funds recently received.
Nobat explained that his disappearance from TikTok Live is deliberate and part of his commitment to personal change.
He also confessed that even after his release from prison, he briefly continued attacking the UNMF leader out of anger, but insists that chapter of his life is now closed.
In another revelation, Nobat disclosed that he was recently dropped from a list of promoters who met President Yoweri Museveni. Unlike before, he chose not to complain or stir controversy, describing it as a test of his new mindset.
“I’ve chosen peace,” he said, adding that he no longer wants to be linked to online fights or insults.
