Rapper Feffe Bussi has finally cleared the air on his strained relationship with fellow musician Eddy Kenzo, saying their disagreements are political, not personal.
Speaking openly, the “Uganda empya” singer explained that the tension between them comes from standing on opposite political sides. Feffe is a supporter of the National Unity Platform (NUP), while Kenzo is closely linked to the ruling NRM, a difference he says has caused repeated clashes.
Feffe questioned whether Kenzo is genuinely comfortable with the current situation in the country, adding that several musicians who were once close to Kenzo now feel disappointed by his actions.
“Many artists are angry with him, People like Spice Diana, Fik Fameica, Grenade, Karole Kasita and Nina Roz were in his circle. He made them believe he was fighting for musicians’ copyright, yet he’s busy working on an album for President Museveni.”,Feffe said.
The rapper admitted that Kenzo’s rise to international fame once earned him massive respect within the industry. However, he believes that respect is slowly fading due to Kenzo’s political stance.
“He doesn’t see any injustice and thinks the opposition is a joke, yet people are suffering. That’s where we differ. With his influence, you’d expect him to speak out.”Feffe added.
As of now, Eddy Kenzo has not responded to Feffe Bussi’s remarks. We shall keep you updated once he breaks his silence.
