Renowned Ugandan artist Moses Ssali, popularly known as Bebe Cool, has spoken out about the mental health challenges his eldest son, Allan Hendrik Ssali alias Paper Daddy, has faced.
During an exclusive interview with Mr. Henrie on Galaxy TV, Bebe Cool was asked to address circulating rumors regarding Allan’s mental well-being.
In a candid response, the Gagamel boss confirmed that his son had indeed experienced a period of depression.
Bebe Cool acknowledged the seriousness of the situation, emphasizing that Allan’s struggles were deeply personal and not something anyone himself includedcould easily resolve.
“It’s true Allan was going through personal challenges that neither I nor anyone else could help him with. Mental health is a serious issue, and many people have been through similar situations including Chameleone and even myself when Zuena left me.”,he said.
The singer urged the public to show empathy rather than judgment, noting that Allan is currently on the path to recovery and making progress.
In the same interview, Bebe Cool also reflected on his marriage, describing his wife Zuena as his greatest blessing.
He credited her with positively transforming his life and career. Her good character, he added, has been a major reason for his commitment and stability over the years.
Though he once opposed the idea of polygamy, Bebe Cool admitted that as he matured, he began to understand the cultural expectations that lead some men to have multiple wives and children.
