Fangone Forest musician Alien Skin, born Mulwana Patrick, has voiced his frustration over being denied personal security following a violent attack in Iganga, eastern Uganda.
In a phone interview, the controversial artist described a harrowing encounter that nearly cost him his life.
He revealed that prior to the incident, he had requested a firearm for personal protection, but the appeal was allegedly rejected without any clear justification something he believes reflects a broader disregard for his safety.
“They nearly killed me, and that’s just a glimpse of what we endure. I fight every day just to survive, knowing that even if I cry out for help, they won’t respond they always claim I’m the troublemaker.”,he said.
He added, “I once said I needed security, and people dismissed me, saying no one would give me a gun. Are all gun holders in Uganda more important than me? Why am I being treated like I don’t matter?”
The artist, currently recovering in the hospital, warned that once he heals, the public should expect a more defiant version of himself.
The attack occurred after Alien Skin performed at a Women’s Day celebration in Iganga. According to reports, a group of unidentified individuals ambushed him after the event, leaving his vehicle severely damaged and inflicting visible injuries to his face.
