The Uganda Cranes have once again slid down in the latest FIFA World Rankings, dropping two places from 83rd to 85th following the recent international break.

Coach Paul Put’s squad managed a 2-1 win over Chad but later suffered a heavy 4-0 defeat to Morocco, a result that largely contributed to the slip in rankings.

Despite the drop, Uganda still remains East Africa’s top-ranked team, ahead of Tanzania (112th), Kenya (113th), and Rwanda (131st).

The Cranes now shift focus to the upcoming AFCON qualifiers, where they will face a tough Group C lineup featuring Nigeria, Tunisia, and Tanzania, giving them an opportunity to bounce back and climb higher in the next rankings.
