National Unity Platform (NUP) presidential candidate  Robert Kyagulanyi, popularly known as Bobi Wine, has urged young people in Soroti to shun smoking and alcohol, saying sobriety is key to building a better future.

Addressing NUP supporters, commonly known as “foot soldiers,” Bobi Wine warned that harmful habits could derail their dreams and weaken their focus.

“I discourage you from smoking. Stay away from alcohol. A sober mind is a very important resource,” he told the youth.

He said young people must protect their health and minds if they are to play a meaningful role in shaping their communities and the country.

Bobi Wine, who rose from humble beginnings in the ghetto to become an international music icon and political leader, often uses his life story to inspire young Ugandans facing similar challenges.
