Kira Municipality Member of Parliament, Hon. Ibrahim Ssemujju Nganda, has announced that he will be holding his re-election campaign rallies only on Sundays as he seeks another term in office.
According to his campaign program, Ssemujju who is running under the People’s Front for Freedom (PPF) flag will dedicate weekdays to parliamentary duties and reserve Sundays for interacting with voters ahead of the January 15, 2026 general elections.
The veteran legislator is eyeing a third term and faces stiff competition from George Musisi, a lawyer and flag bearer of the National Unity Platform (NUP), who officially launched his campaigns on Monday in Kira Town.
Ssemujju’s first rally will take place on Sunday, November 16 at Kasokoso and Kiganda, followed by more rallies in Mbalwa, Janda, and Kyaliwajjala on November 23.
His busiest campaign day will be December 28, when he is scheduled to hold eight rallies across Kitukutwe, Kijjabijjo, Nakwero, Kimwanyi, Kiwologoma, Nsasa, Bulinda, and Mulawa.
The campaign trail will conclude in Najjera on January 11, just four days before voters head to the polls.
Ssemujju says his Sunday-only program will allow him to balance both his parliamentary responsibilities and campaign activities effectively.
