Singer OS Suna has finally responded to the trending drama after a video of Bobi Wine refusing to shake his hand at Mikie Wine’s Serena Hotel concert went viral over the weekend.
The incident sparked massive debate online, with fans mocking OS Suna for being “embarrassed” on stage.
In the now-viral clip, OS is seen performing his song Emala near Bobi Wine. When he stretched out his hand for a handshake, Bobi Wine ignored it, forcing OS to switch to a fist bump which Bobi accepted before turning away.
Speaking on a TikTok Live session, OS Suna expressed disappointment, not with Bobi Wine, but with fans who “blew the situation out of proportion.”
He reminded the public that he was the only artist who bought a table to support Mikie Wine’s concert, yet fans chose to focus on “irrelevant issues.”
“You don’t talk about what is okay. You focus on what you think is wrong. If that is how Bobi Wine wanted to behave, it’s his right. I have no problem with him,”
OS Suna said.
Despite the online trolls, OS maintained a positive attitude, saying the viral clip had actually boosted his popularity.
“I thank God no news is bad news for a celebrity. Even the video that embarrassed me is working in my favor. But remember, what goes around comes around,”
he added.
OS Suna has since moved on from the saga, focusing on promoting his music as the clip continues to circulate online.
