Singer and Sembabule Woman MP aspirant, Nina Roz, has voiced deep heartbreak after her father was reportedly arrested in Sembabule over a cow that allegedly strayed onto land said to belong to President Yoweri Museveni.
According to Nina Roz, the incident started as a simple grazing mishap, but instead of resolving it peacefully, authorities allegedly detained her father, leaving the family in shock and pain.

Nina says her father is a hardworking farmer who has spent his entire life providing for his family through honest labor.
“My heart is breaking, my father has worked under the sun his whole life. Today he is in jail because a cow strayed onto land believed to be the President’s. The poor suffer while the powerful are protected.”,Nina Shared.
She also questioned how such a minor and unintentional situation could lead to humiliation and imprisonment of a senior citizen.

“How do I sleep when my father is behind bars for something so natural? Where is compassion? Where is leadership that protects ordinary people?” she added.
Nina has called upon Uganda Police and relevant authorities to handle the matter with humanity and release her father, saying the issue is not just about land, but about dignity and justice.
“Let my father go. Let our people breathe,” she appealed.
At the time of publishing, Police had not yet issued an official statement regarding the situation. We shall keep you updated once more information is released.
