Just weeks after his departure from Kansanga-based Galaxy FM and TV, renowned media personality and MC Henry Arinaitwe, popularly known as Mr. Henrie, has officially joined NRG Radio Uganda (106.5 FM).
NRG Radio Uganda, a sister station to NRG Radio Kenya, officially unveiled Mr. Henrie as the newest member of its vibrant on-air team today .
Known for his authenticity, charisma, and deep connection with audiences, Mr. Henrie’s arrival signals a significant milestone in the station’s mission to shape youth culture and redefine modern African entertainment.
Speaking about his move, Mr. Henrie shared that the decision was inspired by a desire for personal and professional growth, as well as alignment with a progressive and visionary brand.
“For me, this is about growth. I’ve reached a stage where I need a platform that matches my future ambitions — one that challenges me to think bigger and connect further. NRG Radio provides exactly that. It’s bold, it’s fresh, and it aligns perfectly with where I’m headed,”
said Mr. Henrie.
NRG Radio’s Strategy Lead, Julius Kyazze, described Henrie’s addition as part of a broader vision to amplify African voices and celebrate the continent’s growing global cultural influence.

As part of its strategic expansion, NRG Radio Uganda also announced the addition of Timothy Jjumba Omar, popularly known as Timo Pon D’Chat, a respected audio producer and radio imaging expert with over 13 years of experience in radio production and mentorship.
Excited about the new chapter, Timo promised to revolutionize Uganda’s radio soundscape.

Kyazze concluded by emphasizing that these appointments are part of NRG Radio’s long-term commitment to investing in exceptional talent capable of driving African culture forward.
