Celebrated TV presenter and events emcee, MC Kats has slammed critics for constantly dragging his ex-lover and baby mama Fille Mutoni into conversations surrounding his HIV status.
Kats, who publicly revealed he is HIV positive over a year ago, says the stigma that has since been directed at Fille and his children is both hurtful and unnecessary.
For years, Fille has endured rumours claiming she is also HIV positive allegations that often leave her emotional during interviews.
A viral video making rounds on social media shows MC Kats defending Fille after netizens began speculating about her recent appearance. Kats made it clear that people are simply talking about things they don’t understand.
“Fille is okay. Just listen to the music everything else is none of your business,you all don’t know that someone with HIV can live with their partner without transmitting the virus to them. I don’t care what wannabe bloggers say.”,he said.
Kats revealed he had taken time to read comments online and found many of them “painful and disappointing.”
He noted that Ugandans often speak confidently about issues they know little about, a habit that fuels stigma, misinformation, and unnecessary attacks.
Addressing claims that he exposed Fille to risk, Kats clarified that their relationship was built on honesty and full disclosure, and Fille was always aware of his HIV status.
The media personality urged the public to respect their privacy, stop speculating about their health, and instead focus on the music.
