Musician and Vice President Uganda Musicians Association ( UMA), King Saha has taken a sharp jab at fellow artist-turned-politician Stecia Mayanja, questioning her mental stability after her recent foray into politics.
Stecia recently surprised the public when she was introduced as the new president of the relatively unknown National Peasants Party (NPP). At the same event, she announced her intention to run for the Kampala Woman Member of Parliament seat in the upcoming elections.
Speaking to the media upon his return from a performance in Dubai, King Saha didn’t mince words when asked about Stecia’s political move.
“Let her get checked, then we shall respond,” Saha remarked, implying concerns about her mental health.
He also directed a comment at Kampala Central MP Muhammad Nsereko, saying, “Let him not be emotional. These are different things,” suggesting deeper political tensions behind the scenes.
The situation has sparked speculation about potential conflicts and alliances within Kampala’s political and entertainment spheres.
Stay tuned for further developments.
