Charles Peter Mayiga, the Katikkiro of Buganda, has expressed his profound disappointment over the recent violent altercations between musicians Alien Skin and Pallaso.
The conflict, which started on December 31 during the Buganda Kingdom’s Enkuuka festival, escalated to the Empere festival in Entebbe and even spilled over to Alien Skin’s home in Kampala.
Speaking at a meeting with singer Spice Diana ahead of her upcoming concert, Mayiga condemned the clashes, emphasizing that artists should focus on their craft instead of resorting to physical confrontations, which he described as both counterproductive and damaging.
“It is unacceptable for artists to engage in fights, I know both Patrick Mulwana, alias Alien Skin, and Pius Mayanja, known as Pallaso. They should have come to me before the situation escalated. I would have mediated and helped resolve the issue peacefully.”Mayiga remarked.
The Katikkiro also expressed his willingness to step in and facilitate reconciliation between the two musicians.
He urged all artists to seek peaceful resolutions to their disputes, pointing out that violence not only harms their reputations but also hinders their professional growth.
