Taf Music Uganda singer Kapa Cat has left her fans worried after revealing that she was spiked during a night out, a situation she says nearly cost her life.
The “Energy” hitmaker shared the frightening experience through her social media pages, explaining that she suffered a severe and life-threatening reaction after someone allegedly tampered with her drink.
Kapa Cat says her goal is to raise awareness, especially among young women who frequently go out.
“I was a victim of spiking this week when I stepped out. It was a very severe and life-threatening moment. This post is all about awareness,” she wrote.
The singer also listed several safety tips that everyone especially girls should follow:
Never leave your drink unattended.
“Even a few seconds on a table is enough for someone to tamper with it,” she warned.
Use drink-safety tools like covers, test strips or smart coasters that detect harmful substances.
Stay alert in social spaces.
Avoid drinks from strangers and always look out for your friends.
Kapa Cat urged women to share her message widely to help prevent similar incidents.
