Musician Kalifah Aganaga has shed light on the reasons behind his professional split from producer Nash Wonder, revealing that their parting was driven by creative direction rather than personal conflict.

Speaking during a TikTok live session, Aganaga explained that he wanted Nash Wonder to focus on working with the younger generation of artists, rather than branching out to more established acts.

“At the height of my career, the competition between upcoming artists like myself and the established names such as Radio & Weasel was intense,Nash Wonder and I had created several hits together, and our collaboration was starting to make waves.”Aganaga said.

According to Kalifah Aganaga, the success of their partnership began to draw attention so much so that Radio & Weasel reportedly abandoned their longtime producer, Washington, to work with Nash Wonder. This, He admitted, didn’t sit well with him.

“I didn’t want to share our sound. We were creating something unique, something that set us apart. We didn’t fall out on bad terms, but I wanted Nash to be exclusive to help us younger artists, like Ziza Bafana, compete with the big names.”,he said.

Kalifah Aganaga also accused the Radio & Weasel camp of having previously undermined his efforts to work with top producers like Washington and Paddy.

“They used to badmouth us to their producers, making it difficult for us to get a chance. When we did get access, the costs were unreasonable. That’s why we started building our own talent our own producers.”,he revealed.

Ultimately, Aganaga said the separation from Nash Wonder was about preserving a distinct identity in the industry, not personal grievances.

“When Radio & Weasel came to Nash, it only proved they felt threatened by what we were doing”., he added.
