US-based Ugandan socialite and entrepreneur Juliet Zawedde is reportedly sparing no expense ahead of her wedding to Tanzanian musician Bushoke, scheduled for Friday, October 17, 2025, in Massachusetts.
According to reports, Zawedde has spent over Shs 117 million (approximately $34,000) in preparation for the ceremony. A significant portion of this amount went toward her wedding gowns, which she purchased from high-end boutiques in New York City.
Ugandan journalist Josephat Sseguya, who travelled to the United States to cover the event, revealed that each gown cost about $17,000.
Earlier this week, Zawedde hosted an elaborate bridal shower attended by close friends and associates.
The wedding marks the culmination of a well-publicised relationship between Zawedde and Bushoke, whose real name is Dennis Mjema.
The couple announced their engagement in August, describing their relationship as one where they “complete each other.”
Ugandan music star Jose Chameleone is expected to headline the entertainment at the event. A long-time friend of Zawedde, Chameleone has already arrived in the United States and has been rehearsing with his team ahead of the performance, according to Sseguya.
The ceremony will take place at Spinelli’s Function Facility in Peabody, Massachusetts, with more than 300 guests expected to attend.
The guest list includes Zawedde’s friends and colleagues based in the US, along with several attendees flying in from different parts of the world.
