Legendary Ugandan artist Joseph Mayanja, popularly known as Jose Chameleone, has finally addressed the swirling rumors surrounding his alleged divorce from wife Daniella Atim.
While performing at Comedy Store on Thursday night, the iconic singer briefly touched on the speculation, urging fans to pay no mind to the gossip and instead focus on his music.
“Thank you so much to everyone who has walked this journey with me. There’s a lot of hearsay going around right now ignore that. Just listen to the music. That’s what matters. It’s all in God’s plan,” Chameleone told the crowd.
Jose Chameleone and Daniella have been married for 17 years and share five children, though the two have reportedly been living apart for some time.
In March, reports surfaced that Daniella had filed for divorce, citing long-term neglect, emotional abandonment, and lack of support throughout the marriage. Allegedly, Chameleone has since agreed to the separation.
Daniella also opened up about battling depression during the marriage and claimed that the singer had been absent for five years, leaving her to raise their children alone.
Despite the growing public scrutiny, Chameleone seems intent on redirecting attention from his personal life back to his music and career.
Stay tuned for further developments.
