Ugandan songstress Iryn Namubiru has finally addressed the growing speculation surrounding her relationship with Swangz Avenue, putting to rest rumors that she has officially signed with the celebrated record label.
The whispers began after Swangz Avenue powered Namubiru’s “Timeless Experience” concert in July 2024 at Kampala Serena Hotel. The show sold out and received widespread praise for its high-end production, instantly sparking talk that the singer had joined the Swangz Avenue family.
Following the concert’s success, Namubiru worked closely with the label for about two months, allowing them to handle her bookings throughout the busy festive season. Even after that period ended, Swangz Avenue continued promoting her for various events, a move that further fueled speculation of a permanent deal.
However, in a recent interview with Tawfiq, Namubiru cleared the air once and for all.
“They manage my bookings, but I am not a Swangz Avenue artiste. If you want to book me, you go through them,” she stated.
Her statement draws a clear line between partnership and full signing, confirming that while Swangz Avenue manages her bookings, she remains an independent artiste.
For now, fans can breathe easy Iryn Namubiru is collaborating with Swangz Avenue, but she has not joined the label.
