Big Talent boss and UNMF president Eddy Kenzo has finally spoken out on what really sparked off his rift with fellow music giant Bebe Cool.
For weeks, word has been making rounds that the two stars are not on good terms despite sharing the same political stage during NRM campaigns.
While Kenzo initially brushed off the rumors, he has now come clean, revealing that their beef runs deeper than politics.
Speaking to journalists in Bugisu, the Sitya Loss hitmaker revealed that the tension between him and Bebe Cool is fueled by ego, competition, and leadership struggles within the music industry.
“Our misunderstandings stem from ego and jealousy,It’s not about politics. The friction between us is about leadership and pride.”,Kenzo said.
Kenzo explained that Bebe Cool has struggled to accept his leadership as the president of the Uganda National Musicians Federation (UNMF), a role that puts him in charge of guiding the direction of Uganda’s music industry.
“He doesn’t want to accept that a young man like me can be their leader.I respect him, but I also have to do my job for the good of all artists.”Kenzo added.
Despite their differences, Kenzo insists there’s no bad blood between them, emphasizing that he still respects Bebe Cool but won’t compromise his leadership role.
As Uganda’s music industry grows, the rivalry between Kenzo and Bebe Cool continues to highlight the challenges of leadership, fame, and unity among the country’s top stars.
