The family of the late Muhammad Ssegirinya has been shaken by surprising DNA test results revealing that only four of the nine children claimed to be his are biologically related to him.
The remaining five, including the youngest, were confirmed not to be his biological offspring.
The revelation was made public by Ssegirinya’s former assistant, Aalex Lusswa Luwemba, during a recent media interview.
“God is great, and the results are out, I always suspected something was wrong. Some of those women began fighting over his property even before he was buried—it raised serious concerns.”Luwemba said
Luwemba’s comments implied that some of the paternity claims may have been driven by an interest in Ssegirinya’s estate rather than genuine familial ties.
Ssegirinya, a former legislator, died without leaving a will, sparking intense legal disputes among those claiming to be his heirs.
Luwemba also confirmed that legal action is now underway to formally identify the rightful beneficiaries.
Hon. Medard Ssegona, a lawyer and member of parliament, is reportedly overseeing the process to ensure the four confirmed children receive the necessary letters of administration to manage their late father’s estate.
This latest development adds a dramatic turn to the inheritance saga and could influence how similar cases are handled in the future when high-profile individuals pass away without a will.
