Galaxy FM and TV outspoken presenter DJ Nimrod Nabeeta, popularly known as DJ Nimrod, faced a rough moment on Friday night after angry fans pelted him with plastic bottles during King Saha’s concert at Lugogo Cricket Oval.
The trouble started when Nimrod stepped on stage to hype the already charged crowd that had turned up in massive numbers for Saha’s second concert of the year. But instead of cheers, sections of the audience began hurling plastic mineral water bottles, forcing the DJ into an embarrassing retreat.
In the heat of the chaos, a visibly frustrated Nimrod fired back at the crowd, jokingly threatening to switch political sides.
“I will change my political allegiance. Should I go and join DP?” he shouted as bottles flew his way.
But fans were not buying it — their message was clear: they wanted him off the stage.
In social media videos making rounds shows Event stewards quickly stepping in, helping to calm the situation as Nimrod begged the crowd to stop throwing objects. Thankfully, the tension eased, and the concert smoothly picked up again, with King Saha delivering an energetic performance till the end.
