Dancehall star Cindy Sanyu has made it clear that she doesn’t need a chart-topping hit to stage a successful concert.
While many believe that hit singles are essential for drawing crowds, Cindy Sanyu insists her legacy and performance energy are more than enough.
In a recent interview with Calvin The Entertainer on UBC TV , Cindy shared that she’s reached a point in her career where her name alone can sell out a show. With a rich musical catalog and a reputation for electrifying performances, she believes fans come for the full experience not just one popular track.
“The music is just a bonus,I don’t necessarily need a hit to put on a show. My fans know they’ll have a good time whether they love me or not. That’s why they pay. You don’t have to like me, but when you come, I’ll give you a performance worth your money—100%.”,Cindy said.
Cindy Sanyu emphasized that her focus is on delivering top-notch sound, energy, and entertainment.
“I don’t need a good song,I just need a good performance and a good sound system, and people will feel me.”,she added.
The singer is set to headline a solo concert on August 29, 2025, at Millennium Park in Kampala, where she promises to give her fans a night to remember.
