Bobi Wine Confirms Attendance: Anticipation is building ahead of the highly awaited NTV Presidential Debate, as the station confirmed that all eight candidates have been invited though not all have officially committed.

While several camps remain silent, President Yoweri Museveni’s team is yet to confirm whether the incumbent will take part, leaving the public guessing.

The excitement spiked on Thursday after the NUP presidential Candidate, Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu aka Bobi Wine confirmed he will attend and he did it with a bold, confrontational message on social media.

“I will be there to share our vision for a New Uganda and to challenge Dictator Museveni on whatever new lies he wants to tell the people of Uganda after 40 years of deception and failed promises. See you then!” Bobi Wine posted.

This upcoming debate will be only the second televised presidential debate in Uganda’s history.

The first was held in January 2016, organised by the Inter-Religious Council of Uganda (IRCU) and the National Consultative Forum (NCF), featuring candidates like Kizza Besigye and Amama Mbabazi.

President Museveni famously skipped that first debate, only appearing for the second one in February 2016 later complaining that candidates were given very limited time to speak.

With speculation once again swirling around whether the incumbent will show up, public interest in the NTV debate is sky-high. Many Ugandans see it as a pivotal moment in the 2026 race an opportunity for each candidate to clearly outline their vision and face the nation directly.

The stage is set. Now all eyes are on whether President Museveni will take his seat this Sunday 30th November,2025.
