Upcoming musicians Berlin and Eyo Shata have accused Fangone Forest boss Alien Skin of physically assaulting them.
The two artists reportedly used AI technology to replicate Alien Skin’s voice for their single “Ndi Munene,” which tells the story of his time at Luzira prison and his comeback. The track, released shortly after Alien Skin’s release from prison, gained traction on TikTok, with fans mistakenly believing it to be his official song.
Berlin claims that on Monday morning, he received a call from blogger Chicken Chicken, requesting him to come to Alien Skin’s house along with Eyo Shata and Alvin On The Beat, the producer of the song.
They were invited under the pretense of working on a remix of the track with Alien Skin himself.
However, when they arrived, they were confronted by Alien Skin, who had them stripped of their personal belongings, including money and phones.
The group was then put on TikTok Live, and shortly after the stream ended, Berlin and Eyo Shata say they were beaten by a group of Alien’s associates. Alien Skin allegedly questioned them about the release of the song in his voice before ordering his men to cut off their hair.
Berlin described the ordeal, saying that Alien Skin gave strict instructions to avoid leaving any marks or wounds that could serve as evidence.
“This industry is shocking. How can someone we look up to treat us like this?” Berlin said, expressing his disbelief over the violent treatment.
“He beat us like we were thieves, and he watched as it happened.”he added.
Berlin reported suffering severe body pain, while Eyo Shata is said to be hospitalized.
Despite the violence, Berlin is hesitant to file a police report, citing his belief that no action would be taken.
“Alien Skin treated me like I had done something wrong. They beat me on his orders, and I know nothing will happen even if we report it. There’s no justice here,” he said.
