Ugandan music legend Bebe Cool has opened the door to a potential collaboration with fellow icon Jose Chameleone, a move that fans across East Africa have been hoping for over the years.
During a recent media tour in Nairobi, Kenya, where he’s promoting his latest album Break The Chains, Bebe Cool sat down with Buzz Central Kenya and spoke openly about his evolving relationship with Chameleone.
The two artists, widely recognized as trailblazers of Uganda’s modern music industry, have shared a turbulent past filled with both rivalry and reconciliation.
“Time and experience have left us with no choice but to bond, You can see it during performances times, we end up together by default.”Bebe Cool said, referring to Chameleone by his first name, Joseph.
He explained that as artists mature, collaboration becomes more natural. “It’s automatic for people to get close as they grow,” he added, hinting that a joint project between him and Chameleone could materialize sooner rather than later.
A Bebe Cool–Chameleone collaboration has long been a dream for fans who have followed their careers for over two decades. Now, that dream may finally be within reach.
