Balaam Barugahara Survives Tragic Accident in Kagadi

State Minister for Children and Youth Affairs, Hon. Balaam Barugahara, has revealed he survived a devastating road accident that occurred in Kagadi District while en route to Fort Portal for the Tooro Kingdom Annual Youth Conference.

The accident, involving the minister’s convoy, tragically claimed the life of a boda boda rider and left two members of his team injured.

In a post on his official X (formerly Twitter) account, Minister Balaam expressed heartfelt gratitude for surviving the incident. He credited his driver’s swift and skillful response for preventing an even greater tragedy.

“Thank God for His mercy. Our car was involved in a horrific accident in Kagadi on our way to Fort Portal for the Tooro Kingdom Annual Youth Conference. I’m grateful for our driver’s quick thinking and skillful maneuvers that saved us,” he wrote.

While thankful for his own survival, the minister mourned the loss of life and extended sympathies to the bereaved.

“Sadly, a boda boda rider lost his life, and two of our people were injured. May the deceased soul rest in peace. My condolences to the family, and I wish the injured a speedy recovery,” he added.

 

The announcement has drawn widespread concern and sympathy from the public, with many sending condolences and wishing a fast recovery to the injured.

Authorities have yet to release an official report on the incident, but investigations into the cause of the accident are expected to follow.
