Renowned Ugandan TikToker and influencer Chicken Chicken real name Katongole Anthony has called out Baba TV for what he describes as an unfair and disrespectful dismissal following his alleged leaked private videos.
Speaking in a recent interview, Chicken Chicken confirmed he was laid off shortly after the viral clips made rounds online but what stung the most was how the news was delivered.
The TikTok star, who joined Baba TV in April along with fellow Tik Toker Sheilah Price, says he expected professionalism from the station’s management, especially from proprietor Hon. Balyeku, who personally recruited him for the gossip show.
“What hurt me was that they didn’t even notify me. I used my fuel to go to the station only to be told I’d been laid off. It was unfair,” he narrated.
Chicken says he was shocked that the same man who eagerly called him to join the station couldn’t pick up the phone to notify him about the termination. Instead, the news was announced through a social media statement.
“He should have called me the same way he did when he wanted me to work for him. I didn’t get this job from social media, but that’s where they fired me,” he added.
Chicken Chicken also revealed that he has since been replaced by content creator Jayden real name Kayanja Timothy, who is currently battling health issues.
