Renowned music producer Musoke Martin, professionally known as Artin Pro, has spoken out following allegations linked to his recent collaboration with controversial artist and content creator Uncle Chumi, also known as Mushabe Crek Haidare.
In a public statement, Artin addressed the backlash surrounding his involvement in producing Chumi’s track titled “Who.”
He explained that he was initially reluctant to participate in the project but eventually agreed after being told a sponsor was backing the initiative.
“I take on projects for various reasons—sometimes for financial return, but often to support up-and-coming talent, Given my own humble beginnings, I was moved to volunteer my services in this case.”,Artin said.
His comments come amid growing online speculation and social media chatter, which he said has caused distress to his family, clients, and industry colleagues.
The controversy escalated after Chumi publicly accused Artin of inappropriate conduct during a recent studio session claims he firmly denies.
“These accusations may seem minor to some, but I take them seriously, especially when they threaten my professional reputation and legacy,” he stated.
Artin directly addressed Chumi in his statement, warning that her actions could have serious legal and reputational consequences if left uncorrected. He called on her to issue a public apology, emphasizing that regardless of whether the remarks were meant as a joke, they are damaging.
“If this was intended in jest, let me be clear it is no laughing matter. It is a direct attack on my character. There is still an opportunity for a genuine and public apology.”,he said.
This incident is the latest in a series of controversies surrounding Uncle Chumi, who has previously drawn criticism for making disparaging comments about DJs and other music industry professionals.
As the situation continues to unfold, the music community is closely watching for a response from Chumi.
In the meantime, Artin Pro remains resolute in defending his name, urging the public to treat any defamatory statements about his work with caution.
