Alien Skin Warns Opposition Leaders Against Using His Music or Slogans, Threatens Legal Action

Alien Skin
Ugandan musician Alien Skin, real name Patrick Mulwana, has issued a stern warning to opposition candidates, cautioning them against using his songs or slogans in their political campaigns.

During a recent interview, the Party hitmaker declared that he considers all opposition politicians his “sworn enemies” and will not allow them to use his intellectual property without authorization.

He emphasized that his music and catchphrases are copyrighted and must not be used without payment or permission.

“I want to send a serious warning to opposition candidates: do not play my songs or use any of my slogans. All my words are copyrighted, and if I find you using them, I will sue you. This applies to all opposition members because we don’t get along. They insult me, then go ahead to use my music. I shouldn’t find you using my songs.”Alien Skin stated.

The Fangone Forest boss, however, clarified that his warning does not extend to fellow musicians particularly those he has collaborated with regardless of their political affiliations.

“I have no problem with musicians who support the opposition because they are not contesting for office,My issue is with the candidates. Some of these artists don’t even understand how the industry works. While people are creating AI, they are still playing around with simple words.”,he explained.

Alien Skin’s remarks have sparked mixed reactions among music lovers and political observers, with many debating the intersection of art, politics, and intellectual property rights in Uganda’s entertainment scene.
