Singer Alien Skin has finally spoken out about his sudden disappearance from NRM campaign rallies, making one thing clear, he’s not returning unless President Yoweri Museveni personally calls him.
At the start of the campaign season, Alien Skin was everywhere performing at NRM rallies under Bebe Cool’s Unstoppable Movement, including the high-profile Kololo launch. Then, without warning, he vanished from the campaign trail, sparking rumors of money fights and backstage drama.
Clearing the air, the Fangone forest entertainment boss brushed off claims that he has a personal relationship with the president.
“Is Museveni my boy? No,I’m a musician with a skill. If they need my service, let the boss call me.”,he said.
The Party hitmaker explained that unlike some artists who enjoy direct access to the president, he believes recognition comes with time, hard work, and growth.
“Maybe I haven’t worked enough for him to recognize me yet. When that time comes, he’ll look for me.”,Alien Skin stressed.
Alien Skin also denied ever speaking directly with President Museveni, saying a personal call would mean his work is finally being noticed just like what some of his peers, including Bebe Cool, have experienced.
Meanwhile, whispers of a fallout between Alien Skin and Bebe Cool continue, especially after reports that Bebe Cool met the president without him. Still, Alien Skin played it cool, saying middlemen are fine but not forever.
“I’m not yet at the level where the president can call me like Akon. That’s why I’m working harder.”,he stated.
For now, Alien Skin is standing his ground and waiting for that call. stay tuned for more updates here.
